At last Friday’s informational meeting regarding the future of Club Country, your present
Board received ‘Letters of Intent’ from Les Smith, Perry Switzen, Bob Shearer, John
Ochtyun and Gordon Simon to be potential Board members for 2010-2011. Les explained
the intentions of all candidates. Each individual would be responsible for club dance
activities for a two month period as an officer. Les would be the initial head. Diane Martin
has agreed to be a designated DJ for 3 weeks a month for a 7 month block. Les has also
made arrangements to have an individual take weekly admissions.

Admission will be $3 for everyone attending a dance. The dance admission price was acceptable by all
attending the meeting. After proposals, questions and answers, in view of the fact that we
need to maintain members, the present Board asked Bill Herblin to mail membership
forms to all members with the May newsletter. Note, your membership fee will be $5 per
person. Yearly membership remains June 1st to May 31st. When you receive your
membership form, return as stated to Marcia Mahood. She has offered her services as
the club’s membership chairperson.

‘Letters of Intent’ for any office remains open until our meeting on June 4th, 2010.

Working with the Recreation Department of Fort Myers, we will be offering a free
appreciation dance admission to all school teachers on Friday, May 7th. This dance will
be free to everyone attending.
